Say you will only need lunch nice you leave at 1 pm? – Check
Stay until 6 pm due to unforseen challenges facing the driver? – Check
Eat Dinner? – Check
Go to town to buy cookies and sobolo (a spicy drink with Hibiscus Flowers)? – Check
Find 100 people dresses in red and black in front of the hospital having a huge party wiht trumpets and all? – Check
Most of them really drunk? – Check
Turns out this is how you do a funreal in Ghana. Celebrating that the person has found their way to God. And really feeling the emptions. You see trucks with 30 people in the back dancing and singing. It’s like a big Carniaval. And it will last over the weekend in their home villages.
